I chose to do a different person (which is my aunt), because I didn’t want to do my face and I thought her face would look better for this project. I chose these bright and dark colors because of the filter in the original picture. I struggled a lot with her eyes and the words on the hoodie but I just ended up winging it. Now that I finished the project I’m happy because it was very stressful. I really like how it looks now that its finished and am glad I don’t have to do this anymore.
The idea behind my artwork is me giving no matter who you are. My logo is inspired by my mom, me and her giving food to homeless people every year the day before Thanksgiving. When people look my logo I want them to create different ideas of what this could be but I want them to know what it is. And I want people to feel inspired to do what they can to help people. The Logo is about giving. My logo is a circle with hands reaching out, one to give and one to take. The circle is blue, inside there’s two different colored hands, there’s a red heart, and a bottle that’s white and black. I made a circle, two hands that look like mittens, a bottle which is basically an oval and a rectangle put together. I made a heart and put it on the bottle. And then I just changed all the colors. From creating this logo I learned that the pen tool is a huge pain in the butt. And if I have a choice whether or not to do this again I’d pick the other option, 100%. The final piece actually came out better than I thought because my circle kind of looked like a deformed oval but with a little help from the shape tool it became a almost perfect circle. I think the sleeves and the bottle came out good. I felt that I could’ve done the hands better but I was being lazy. The logo has some kind of sense of unity not that much because the hands reaching for each other kind of brings it together but other than that. no.
